Who We Are

We turn emergence into experiment. LICD invents the mathematics, the language and the hardware to read how the Now forms — then builds the experiments that prove whether our equations are description or discovery. Led by L.E. L’Var, LICD is the home of Coherence Dynamics: a new, interdisciplinary science that treats coherence, entropy and the asymmetry between them as the primitives from which physics, life and mind emerge

Why we exist

Most foundational questions stall because the language and the instruments lag the idea. LICD closes that gap. We formalise coherence with rigorous, non-Hilbertian mathematics; we build hardware that instantiates those formalisms; and we design focused, cost-effective experiments that decide between competing pictures of reality. We are lifting Coherence Dynamics out of physics and into a domain of its own — interdisciplinary by foundation, experimental by temperament.

What we do

Invent. Build. Test. Translate.
We write the mathematics that defines coherence, design the experiments that could falsify or validate it, build the hardware that makes those experiments possible, and translate validated results into tools and systems.

  • Theory: L’Var Coherence Field Theory (LCFT) — a bi-topological, recursive framework that treats measurement, collapse and identity as deterministic coherence processes.

  • Hardware: LiquidOS — the Quantum superfluid helium II computation. We use hyperfluidic, topological encodings to make the algebra physical.

  • Experiments: Five tightly scoped proposals that use relatively cheap upgrades to existing large experimental facilities worldwide to test LCFT predictions. Our priority tests target emergent gravity (vs. quantum gravity), dark matter as pressureless dust, vortex-core solitons as identity primitives, and pathways for emergent consciousness.

  • Language & tools: We are building a precise vocabulary and operational toolkit for coherence, entropy and the asymmetry they create — turning decades-old mathematical problems into tools for discovering the universe’s hidden structure (the “smooth lies of measurement”).

The Seven Research Schools

LICD’s work is organized into seven research schools, each a center of expertise and a bridge across disciplines:

  • Coherence Mathematics — foundations, L’Var Space, Bi-Laplacian engines.

  • Coherence Physics — field dynamics, vortex-core solitons, LCFT validation.

  • Living Systems & Coherence Biology — cellular coherence, repair, evolution and neural emergence.

  • Coherence Engineering — LiquidOS, post-Turing processors and distributed coherence protocols.

  • Cognitive Coherence — attention, memory and decision-making as coherence gradients.

  • Social & Ethical Coherence — coherent institutional design and ethical field alignment.

  • Cosmological Coherence — cosmic structure, coherence evolution and dark-sector theory.

Each school publishes theory, builds simulations and fields experiments — and every major project requires cross-school collaboration.

LiquidOS & Hyperfluidic Computing

LiquidOS is our experimental engine: quantum superfluid helium II computation that treats quantized vortices and topology as information. It is not a metaphor — it is hardware. LiquidOS lets us realize LCFT’s Blend and Cross operators in the lab, encode the 13 harmonic numeri as stable topologies, and explore computation as coherent field dynamics.

Decisive experiments

LICD’s experimental program is engineered for clarity, not spectacle. Our five flagship proposals are designed to be low-cost upgrades to existing facilities and to deliver decisive outcomes:

  • Is gravity an emergent coherence effect rather than a quantum force?

  • Does dark matter behave like pressureless dust in a coherence picture?

  • Can vortex-core solitons be identified as the field’s persistent identities?

  • Can controlled LiquidOS demonstrators implement Blend/Cross primitives?

  • Can coherent field dynamics explain pathways to emergent consciousness?

We write proposals that make testable predictions, specify instrumentation changes, and define unambiguous measurement criteria.

The Asherah Project

The Asherah Project is LICD’s translational engine — a for-profit subsidiary that accelerates validation, prototypes hardware and partners with national labs, industry and funders to move experiments from paper to practice.
